Limb Alliance for Zoom

This guide is for providers (practitioners) who use the Limb Alliance team portal. It covers adding the Zoom app, how it works, and how to remove it.

Adding the app

  1. Sign in to the Limb Alliance team portal.
  2. Go to Settings, then Integrations.
  3. In the Zoom section, choose Connect Zoom.
  4. Zoom opens and asks you to approve the app. Review the request and approve it.
  5. You come back to the Integrations page, which now shows Connected along with the email of your Zoom account.

Using the app

Once Zoom is connected, each video appointment gets its own Zoom meeting, created on your Zoom account. If an appointment is rescheduled, its meeting is updated. If it's cancelled, its meeting is deleted.

If Zoom isn't connected, video appointments use the personal Zoom meeting link field on the same Integrations page instead.

If the connection ever stops working, the Integrations page shows Needs reconnect. Choose Reconnect Zoom to fix it.

Removing the app

You can remove the app from either side:

  • In the team portal, go to Settings, then Integrations, and choose Disconnect.
  • Or in Zoom, open the Zoom App Marketplace, then Manage, then Added Apps, and choose Remove.

Either way, the app's access to your Zoom account is revoked and the Zoom data we stored is deleted.

Use your own Zoom app (Server-to-Server OAuth)

If you can't use Connect Zoom yet, you can paste the credentials of your own Zoom Server-to-Server OAuth app instead.

  1. Sign in at marketplace.zoom.us. You must be the account owner or an admin, or have the "Server-to-Server OAuth app" permission.
  2. Choose Develop, then Build App, then Server-to-Server OAuth App, and name it, for example "Limb Alliance".
  3. Copy the Account ID, Client ID and Client Secret.
  4. Fill in the required Information fields.
  5. Under Scopes, add meeting:write:meeting:admin, meeting:update:meeting:admin, meeting:delete:meeting:admin, meeting:read:meeting:admin and user:read:user:admin.
  6. Activate the app.
  7. In the team portal, go to Settings, then Integrations, and choose Use your own Zoom app. Paste the Account ID, Client ID and Client Secret and enter your Zoom email, then choose Save. We check them right away.
  8. To remove it, choose Remove there, and optionally deactivate the app in Zoom.

The Client Secret is stored encrypted and is never shown again.

These credentials can manage meetings for any user on that Zoom account, so only someone who controls the account should enter them.

What we keep

While your account is connected, we store:

  • Your Zoom user ID and account ID
  • Your Zoom email address
  • The permissions (scopes) you approved
  • Encrypted OAuth tokens, which let the app act on your behalf
  • The IDs of the meetings we create

This information is encrypted at rest and is never shared.
